In the Wintertime

The leisrue opportunities in St. Peter during winter are almost unlimited. And our holiday flat is fitted with a floor heating system so that you'll certainly never get too cold.

Winter Sports

Skiing
The Hochwang family skiing and snow boarding area practically lies at the door step of your holiday flat. If you haven't arrived in it anyway, you won't even need your own car to reach the area in the morning: a shuttle bus stops right in front of your holiday flat to bring you there.

In collaboration with the Skiing area Hochwang we can offer you 10% discount on all multi day passes of 5 days and more.

If you think the Hochwang area is not large enough for your taste, visit the much larger, consolidated skiing area Arosa-Lenzerheide and negotiate the slopes there. Both skiing areas are practically guaranteed to have snow cover and offer perfect skiing conditions throughout the entire season.

Both skiing areas also have local skiing schools where you can sign up for a course to improve your skills. Experienced skiing and snow boarding teachers are always at hand.

Sledding
There also are a multitude of sledding slopes. On some of them you can almost get right to the chalet's door step. Another course can take you from Arosa all the way to St. Peter, but you will have to negotiate part of the way on foot.

Winter Hiking
If you enjoy hiking in winter, the area offers you perfect conditions. You can opt to either negotiate the prepared and well-marked regular hiking trails or put on your snow shoes or cross-country skis to veer off the path.

Ice Skating
The winter months also provide plenty of opportunities for ice skating, of course. Just spin your rounds in an ice rink or even join in an ice hockey game. Skates can be rented at the facilities, which generally stay open late so that you can even do a few rounds in the evening to wrap up your skiing day.

Electric Snow Mobile
The snowXpark in Arosa offers both adults and children the opportunity to drive electric snow mobiles on the frozen-over lake surface. Trails are marked so you will always be safe when testing your skills.

If you're more of a spectator type than an active athlete, you can visit and watch the horse races on Obersee lake.
