Leisure & Sport Activities

During summer Schanfigg valley holds a multitude of hiking activites, as you can negotiate around 200 kilometres of walking and hiking trails that offer something for everybody. The trails are going over several mountain peaks and along famous glaciers. Enjoy fabulous mountain views between cows and chamois along flower meadows. You will find your dream route here.
While on the Schanfigg high altitude trail (Schanfigger Höhenweg), you can marvel at the beautiful mountain panorama, or perhaps you prefer the idyllic so-called "10-Lake-Hike", where you'll walk from one crystal clear mountain lake to the next.

Mountain Biking
For enthusiastic mountain bikers the region offers bikers about 50 kilometres of trail with varying difficulty levels. You will find single trails or comfortable day tours. When embarking on tours lasting several days, you can let have your luggage transported by a local service provider.

Hochwang Bogenpark
In Sankt Peter you will find 3 different parks where you can excerise archery. There is one in the mountains, one around Fatschel and one round Molinis. The parks providing 28 3D animals. It can be used as a family day tour including grilling at lunch time. For the kids and adults there are  possibilities to choose the target from different distances.

Summer Sledging
In the Hochwang area you can enjoy the summer sledging. With the Hochwang-Flitzer you can go down from the end of the ski lift to Fatschel. The fun is guaranteed.

Family Holiday
Familes find entertainment on the so-called "squirrel trail" (Eichhörnchenweg), where children and adults alike learn about the daily lives of mountain squirrels and can even feed them. A fantastic experience for every small and big family member also is a hike in the company of goats or the opportunity to play with them during a picnic in lush Alpine meadow.

The robe climbing park, meanwhile, is something for truly adventurous souls. The park offers seven different courses, including some that are easy enough for younger children and others better suited for older children and adults.

Beach & Swimming Holiday
If you'd rather enjoy a cool dip, head for the public bathing beach of Untersee. here you'll also find a 50-metre pool, several springboards, table tennis and beach volley ball facilities, a boccia course, as well as a heated paddling pool for the children. The compound also has an excellent restaurant in case you're feeling hungry.

You also can rent pedal or rowing boats to explore the calm waters of Obersee lake while marvelling at the imposing mountain scenery. Viewing the mountains from the lake surface will give you an entirely different impression than when you're hiking on their slopes. In the evening you can experience Europe's largest water fountain show accompanied by music and light effects.

Golf Holiday
You can tee off at the 18-hole golf course, which lies at an altitude of 1,850 metres enveloped by magnificent mountains. The course is thus one of the highest in Europe, and it offers everything you need to enjoy your golf play: a driving range, club house, pro shop, and much more.

Arosa Bärenland and Bärengolf
The Bärenland was opened in 2018 and there you can learn a lot aroun Brown bears and see them in a huge outdoor enclosure. After that you can visit the mini golf area and have some fun playing there.

There is a bus running from Fatschel (Sankt Peter) to Alp Falur (Tschiertschen). This is a nice round trip or you can only do parts of the trip.
